Our family has been breeding and raising registered Hereford cattle for over 60 years. Our Ranch use to be in the cattle showing industry but over the last 40 years we have gotten out of the showing portion and have stuck with the breeding, feeder cattle, and grain portion of the operation. Since I graduated college in 2019, I have been looking for ways that we could get our meat out to more than just Southern Illinois, so I thought we would try doing this. The meat that you will be receiving will be from a steer that has been fed grass and their mother's milk until they are 500-600 lbs. Then they get put on corn that is raised on our farm, until they are around 1,200 lbs. After that we take them to the butcher and store them in our freezer until the meat is shipped to you.
